Choice Words’ Clients Win $1.4 Million in 2013 CFA Awards

December 2013

Three of Choice Words’ clients were awarded nearly $1.2 million in the 2013 New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CSA) round announced in December. The New Paltz-based grant writing firm handled proposal research, development and writing on behalf of the three successful applicants, which included SUNY New Paltz, the Orange County Business Accelerator, and the Catskill Center.

“I am extremely proud that Choice Words was able to contribute to these three worthy CFA grant applications,” said Choice Words President and Founder Steve Densmore. “Each of these projects will expand services and opportunities for Hudson Valley residents, enhancing our quality of life and improving the regional economy.”

The three projects awarded funding include:

  • SUNY New Paltz 3D Printer Project was named one of the Mid-Hudson Region’s top priority projects and was awarded $1 million for the purchase of new state-of-the-art 3D equipment.
  • Orange County Business Accelerator was one of only 10 small business incubators in NYS to receive $375,000 (over 3 years) in funding under the state’s Business Incubator and Innovation Hot Spot Support Program. The funding will go to expand support services and programs for Orange County start ups.
  • The Catskill Center’s Catskill Interpretive Center Project was awarded $49,000 from the Empire State Development Corporation to help develop marketing and digital infrastructure for the planned visitors center.
